Getting Here

Greenwich Peninsula is just eight minutes from London Bridge on the Jubilee Line.

It’s also easy to get here using Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, and via Docklands Light Railway Greenwich Peninsula is also a short bus ride from Greenwich town centre.

The Docklands Light Railway goes to Canary Wharf where you can change to the Jubilee line.

City Cruises departs every 30 mins, every day of the week, all year round from four fantastic piers near Westminster, London Eye, Tower of London and Greenwich.

You can then take a 188 or 129 bus to Greenwich Peninsula – the bus trip takes about 8 mins.

City Cruises boats are designed to give you the best vantage point of river life. Enjoy the views from the open air upper deck or comfortable saloon. Thames River Sightseeing

Thames River Sightseeing are the oldest established passenger sightseeing company on the Thames. Boats range from the very modern ‘Sarpedon’ to the more traditional ‘Hollywood’.

You can buy tickets either online or at Westminster, Embankment, Festival, Bankside, St Katharine’s and Greenwich Piers for boats going to Greenwich and the Thames Barrier or returning to Westminster from Greenwich.

London Underground

Take the underground to North Greenwich, on the Jubilee line, which is just next door to The O2 and London Cable Car.

It takes about 8 mins from London Bridge, or 20 mins from Bond Street. You can of course get here from any tube station though and change at appropriate stations en-route.

Take a Docklands Light Railway train from Bank station direct to Canary Wharf and change to the Jubilee Line to go one stop to North Greenwich.

You can also travel from Tower Gateway, changing trains at Shadwell. There are no drivers because the system is completely automated, so sit at the front and pretend to steer! Get a Visitor Oyster Card in advance and your journey will be even smoother.

The IFS Cloud Cable Car is the UK’s only urban cable car and runs between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks. This unique journey across the river Thames takes less than ten minutes and offers fantastic views across the city.

Bus

You can travel to Greenwich Peninsula on a traditional red bus – something London has been famous for since the 1930s. There are lots of bus routes that run through Greenwich Peninsula including the 188 from Russell Square and the 129 which connect Greenwich with North Greenwich.

Getting to other parts of Greenwich is easy by bus, and this useful map will help you find your way around. The cheapest and easiest way to pay for your travel is with an Oyster Card. You can buy a pre-loaded Visitor Oyster Card here.

London City Airport is just the other side of the river Thames, a few minutes away from ExCeL London and a short journey from Greenwich Peninsula. You can fly direct to the airport from many countries around the world, and it’s the ideal airport for those visiting Greenwich and London. Avoid queuing and buy a pre-loaded Visitor Oyster Card before you travel!
