The Royal Borough of Greenwich is a truly family friendly destination. To begin with it’s one of London’s greenest boroughs, with a huge number of delightful parks and open spaces to freely roam and explore in the fresh air.

Head to Greenwich Park, London's oldest enclosed Royal Park, home to the Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory and part of the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site. A spectacular 183 acres of beautiful rolling landscaped parkland, uniquely placed to give brilliant views of London, it also has a brilliant playground for the kids, a boating lake, as well as the immaculate rose, flower and herb gardens. There’s even a wilderness enclosure where you and the little ones can get up close to a small herd of Fallow and Red deer - supposedly the descendants of the deer originally introduced by Henry VIII!

Around the corner is the vibrant Greenwich Market, showcasing stalls of the best designer makers in the area and interesting antiques and collectibles woven amongst local independent shops and the international Food Court that delivers mouth-watering food to go.

For rainy days, just on the edge of Greenwich Park, the National Maritime Museum dives into Britain’s nautical past featuring a multitude of galleries and some excellent interactive children’s exhibits. You’ll find a host of seasonal exhibitions and featured events, both here and next door at The Queen’s House art gallery, home to the main display of the National Maritime Museum’s art collection. Greenwich is also home to the beautiful and iconic Cutty Sark, where you can go aboard and get a taste of life at sea on the world's only surviving tea clipper!

Continue the nautical theme by hopping on an Uber Boat by Thames Clippers to connect to other major hubs in the Borough, Greenwich Peninsula and Woolwich Arsenal and travel through the awesome Thames Barrier, London's vital flood defense mechanism.

Just 8 minutes down river by boat is Greenwich Peninsula. Where modern architecture surrounds the world’s most popular entertainment venue, The O2, in what has become an exciting futuristic 21st century space. As well as the offering of live shows from the world’s most in demand performers, international sports tournaments, and touring exhibitions, there’s also London's biggest cinema and wall-to-wall trampolining at Oxgen Freejumping. Adventure-loving families can also attempt to climb to the summit of the iconic white tent at Up at The O2.

Two minutes walk away is the London Cable Car which offers outstanding 360º views of the city skyline while flying 90m above the river Thames. On the other side of the Peninsula you can try your hand at CrazyPutt London's Adventure Golf. This family-friendly course is inspired by 18 famous holes from around the world including The Belfry, Wentworth, Augusta, K-Club and the home of golf – St Andrews! As well as having to navigate the usual patches of rough and bunkers, you'll have to work your way across a number of fun rafts and bridges.
