Tramshed is opening up to families and young people for a day of theatre, dance and art making workshops, all for free. They will have festive themed shadow puppet making workshops run by Greenwich based artist Caroline Hands, taster sessions of your Youth Theatre companies, the award winning Inclusice Yoga and a chance to learn more and register for the particpation programme ready for the New Year. 

The day will be split by age groups; 11:00am-12:20pm 5-7 years old, 12:30pm-1:30pm 8-11 years old and 2:00pm-3:00pm 12-18 years old. Attendance is comletely free. Tramshed has level access, stairfree access and and mutiple accessible bathrooms and changing facilities. 

Workshops and Activities:

Junior, Middle and Senior Youth Theatre
The Youth Theatre has been running more than 50 years and has been attended by some famous locals including Bernardine Evaristo and Book of Dust Actor Tomi Ogbaro. Sessions run on Saturdays during term time and groups are staggered in Junior, Middle and Senior Youth Theatre groups. Tramshed will be running 40 minute taster sessions, with 20 minutes at the end to ask questions and chat with out tutors.

Shadow Puppet Making with Caroline Hands
Greenwich based artist and regular Tramshed colaborator Caroline Hands will be leading a Shadow Puppet making workshop all day for people of all ages to get involved in. A practitioner of some 50 years, Caroline's work retains a child-like immediacy and freshness, a sheer delight at being in and looking at the world, and a desire to share that uplifting vision with those around her.

Inclusive Yoga
The award winning yoga sessions for 6-16 year olds (parents and carers are welcome to stay and take part). This is yoga for all levels and abilities, absolutely no previous yoga experience required.

Whatever Makes You Happy
A weekly Safe Space and drama workshop for young people experiencing or at risk of developing poor mental health. The programme focuses on making friends and developing social skills, building resilience and self-esteem, and expressing creativity through drama.

Greenwich Dance (LOTUS)
Lotus Youth Dance is our exciting and challenging performance company for young people aged 13-19, with many members having progressed through our NRgDance programme. The programme takes inspiration from a variety of different dance styles including contemporary and jazz.
