A new theatrical experience set in the never-before-opened attic rooms at the top of the historic Admiral’s House

About

It’s the year 1797. While Nelson dines in the opulent surroundings of the Lord Admiral’s House, in the attic rooms above, an injured mariner and a temperamental albatross veer between order and chaos, madness and sanity.

Venture into the strange world of 1797: The Mariner’s Revenge where there’s a storm a-brewing. Join the crew after the ill-fated Battle of Tenerife as you experience an epic struggle for revenge.

This unique show fuses physical theatre, puppetry, and booming sea shanties to immerse the audience in a preposterous struggle for revenge.

Written by HistoryRiot’s Mark Knightley, directed by Briony O’Callaghan, and produced in partnership with the Old Royal Naval College, this new theatrical experience is set in the never-before-opened attic rooms at the top of the historic Admiral’s House, perched imposingly on the banks of the Thames.

Pre-show, audiences will have the chance to explore the rarely-opened Lord Admiral’s House, learn about its history, and have a rum cocktail* at the ‘Skuttlebutt Bar’, before heading upstairs for the evening’s entertainment.  *included in the ticket price. A non-alcoholic option is available.

The exclusive nature of this event means audience capacity is limited, so book now before it sells out.

Note: This is a promenade performance and comfortable footwear is recommended (no heels or open-toe shoes).

Running time: 1 hour 10 Minutes (no interval)
