Venture into the strange world of 1797: The Mariner’s Revenge where there’s a storm a-brewing. Join the crew after the ill-fated Battle of Tenerife as you experience an epic struggle for revenge.

This unique show fuses physical theatre, puppetry, and booming sea shanties to immerse the audience in a preposterous struggle for revenge.

Written by HistoryRiot’s Mark Knightley, directed by Briony O’Callaghan, and produced in partnership with the Old Royal Naval College, this new theatrical experience is set in the never-before-opened attic rooms at the top of the historic Admiral’s House, perched imposingly on the banks of the Thames.

Pre-show, audiences will have the chance to explore the rarely-opened Lord Admiral’s House, learn about its history, and have a rum cocktail* at the ‘Skuttlebutt Bar’, before heading upstairs for the evening’s entertainment.  *included in the ticket price. A non-alcoholic option is available.

The exclusive nature of this event means audience capacity is limited, so book now before it sells out.

Note: This is a promenade performance and comfortable footwear is recommended (no heels or open-toe shoes).

Running time: 1 hour 10 Minutes (no interval)

* Not recommended for children under the age of 15.

* Due to the historic nature of the buildings, these shows are not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. Access to the show is by three flights of stairs.

The Old Royal Naval College and History Riot are committed to making the arts and heritage for everyone. 20% of the tickets for this production have been made available at lower prices to develop new, younger audiences and for members of the local community who would otherwise be unable to attend.
