Celebrating drawing and craftsmanship in response to Return to Slygo, the current gallery exhibition by fashion designer Nicholas Daley.

About

NOW Gallery has partnered with illustrator Gaurab Thakali and creative embroiderer Giulio Miglietta for two exclusive workshops celebrating drawing and craftsmanship in response to Return to Slygo, the current gallery exhibition by fashion designer Nicholas Daley. In the embroidery workshop participants will be invited to select and customise a piece of pre-designed line artwork by Giulio which will then be realised as chain stitch embroidery on a tote bag (supplied) or garment of their choosing.

The illustration workshop will involve designing a record sleeve using drawing materials including pens, pencils and paint markers. This session will be run by Gaurab who has famously designed record sleeves for Brownswood, Olindo Records and Oscar Jerome amongst others. A blank natural tote bag and white record sleeve will be available for each participant however attendees are also welcome to use the workshop to customise their own garment or an existing record. There are three 1-hour time slots available for each workshop session. Participants will be required to wear a mask throughout the workshop and have their temperature checked upon entry. Please select either the Embroidery Workshop or Record Sleeve Workshop from the dropdown and book onto one session only.

All ticket proceeds will be donated to Tomorrow’s Warriors.
