A CPD focused on drawing, looking at meditative drawing techniques to benefit teachers’ own wellbeing and that of their pupils

About

Come and Draw Breath at this very special session led by Tania Kovats and Jane Sassienie for teachers and Learning professionals.

When you pause, take a breath and draw, you are giving time and space to yourself. Breathing and drawing together, connects us. It shows us new ways to be together and to be present. Teachers and learning providers support the wellbeing of others but sometimes they forget to take time for themselves.

This is an opportunity to practise simple mindful breathing and make an accompanying drawing that marks your presence.

This session will last 90mins with extra time allocated for breaks and refreshments.

In this session teachers will use drawing as an approach to wellbeing by:
- Building skills to manage stress
- Increasing self-awareness
- Focusing on the present
- Reducing negative emotions
- Increasing imagination and creativity
This session is open to teachers of any subject or key stage. No previous drawing experience is necessary to take part.

There will also be the chance to sign up and register your interest for a follow-up digital reflection session.
