Come to the Queen's House this February half term for Out at Sea, a week-long family festival of events celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month.
Greenwich's historic house will be hosting storytelling sessions and musical performances suitable for all ages. All activities are FREE.
Programme:
Storytelling Sessions
Join a storytelling session in the atmospheric Great Hall of the Queen's House this February half term. Sessions are free and last around 30 minutes; check the timings below.
- Monday 17th February | Sessions start at 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm | Suitable for under 5s
- Friday 21st February | Sessions start at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm | Suitable for all ages
Choir Performance
- Sunday 23rd February | 12 noon and 2pm, with performances lasting 30 minutes
Venue: Great Hall
Listen to the vocal talents of Rainbows Across Borders, a music group formed as part of a voluntary self-help group for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers fleeing harm and persecution.
Rainbows Across Borders have performed at London Pride events, the Southbank Centre and perform regularly at Croydon Unitarian Church, which provides support to the group. In 2024 the choir performed at the Queen's House for Refugee Week, and are looking forward to sharing their uplifting songs with new audiences in 2025.
