Celebration International Jazz Day at Greenwich Market

About

International Jazz Day is set to bring music and merriment to Greenwich Market on Sunday 30th April. Inaugurated by UNESCO in 2011 in recognition of jazz’s cultural importance and joyful power to bring people together, it’s the world’s largest celebration of jazz. A truly global party, it features classic and contemporary jazz performances in nearly every country across the globe.

Greenwich Market, the social and commercial heart of the Royal Borough, is the natural place for Greenwich to stage its contribution. Plan to arrive by 11.30am and you’ll catch a two-hour set from the acclaimed Josh Short Trio, featuring Jacob Gryn on bass and Joel Waters on drums. From 2-4pm the musical baton passes to the piano driven Merrell-Jenkins Trio. Naturally, there’ll be plenty of food and drink to help you get in the swing!
