Programme:
4th July - Nile Rodgers & CHIC (Seated Performance)
Party like no other with the incredible Nile Rodgers & CHIC!
Among music legends, Nile Rodgers is truly exceptional. He amplifies his legacy as a multiple GRAMMY-winning composer, producer, arranger and guitarist by constantly traversing new musical terrain and successfully expanding the boundaries of popular music. As the co-founder of CHIC and the Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rodgers pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like “Le Freak,” (the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records) and sparked the advent of hip-hop with “Good Times”. Nile transcends all styles of music across every generation with a body of work that’s garnered him inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
6th July - Tom Jones (Seated Performance)
Tom Jones is a living legend, one of the few musical artists whose profession began at the dawn of modern popular music who continues to have a vital recording and performing career to this day. His irresistible show traverses musical eras and genres, cuts across class divides and appeals to young and old, male and female, mainstream and cutting edge.
7th July - Black Eyed Peas (Standing Performance)
With every move, Black Eyed Peas telegraph the rhythm of culture. Over the past 25 years, the Los Angeles trio—will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, and Taboo—have earned six GRAMMY® Awards and achieved sales of 35 million albums and 120 million singles across seminal releases such as Elephunk, The E.N.D., and more. One of the era’s biggest acts, they emerged as “the second best-selling artist/group of all-time for downloaded tracks,” (Nielsen) and landed on Billboard’s “Hot 100 Artists of the Decade.” In 2011, they dazzled the world with a landmark performance at the Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show.
8th July - Kaiser Chiefs (Standing Performance)
Almost two decades in the game, and an extensive back-catalogue of stadium belters, instrumental-prowess, and record-breaking success, Kaiser Chiefs triumphantly return.
Right off the back of a storm of note-worthy live-performances (including the Invictus Games opening ceremony, headlining Virgin Radio’s: One Big Thank You key worker show, and a televised performance for ITV’s Queen’s Jubilee celebrations), Kaiser Chiefs release their latest single: ‘How 2 Dance, which promises to not only see us through the end of this year, but launch fans into 2023 with impeccable swagger, and heritage songwriting.
