Hawksmoor Heritage - one of England's most significant architects will be on display at St Alfege Church

About

An original drawing by Nicholas Hawksmoor, one of England's most significant architects will be on display at St Alfege Church. The sketch outlines the north face of St Alfege Church and dates from the 1700s. Thanks to the new heritage interpretation scheme, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, St Alfege Church is able to display the drawing, on loan from the Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust.

Urban Sketching Workshop
To celebrate this event, St Alfege Church is offering Urban Sketching Workshops, led by Sally Minns, practising artist at Wimbledon Art Studios where she also runs drawing workshops. These half hour sessions will provide an introduction to urban sketching, and will utilise the exterior of the church for inspiration. All materials will be provided on the day and no previous experience is required.

Sessions available at: 11:30am, 12:15pm and 1:15pm (available on first come first serve basis)

Suitable for all ages (All children must be accompanied by a participating adult).
