London’s only peninsula destination is hosting a packed programme of workshops, performances, food and drink to mark the Lunar New Year. Celebrate themes associated with the snake including creativity, renewal and transformation.

The day's highlights include;
• Enjoy showstopping traditional Dragon and - new for 2025 - Lion Dance performances across the Peninsula, symbolising strength, prosperity and good fortune
• Discover the art that lies at the heart of Chinese culture with the Splendours of Henan Exhibition at FirePit Art Gallery
• Celebrate all facets of East and South-East Asian culture at the Eternal Market by Eastern Margins with a host of independent traders
• Explore your creative side with block printing, bamboo weaving and Chinese knots workshops
• Marvel at the paper lantern installation by Yi Crafts
• Learn all about the traditional tile-based game, Mahjong, and even have a go yourself
• Tuck into delicious Asian cuisine with street food vendors dotted around the Peninsula as well as your favourites at Canteen Food Hall & Bar

Join Greenwich Peninsula residents Joyce and Raphael for an intimate tea-tasting session, showcasing four exceptional blends from their brand, Brut Tea. This carefully curated experience takes you on a journey through the origins, stories, and unique characteristics of each blend, highlighting the artistry and passion behind their creation. 

Chinese Knot-Making Workshop - Book Now

Discover the delicate craft of Chinese knot-making in this interactive workshop guided by Yi Craft expert instructors.
Participants will create beautiful decorative ornaments featuring classic knot designs, often seen in home decor, fashion accessories, and as meaningful gifts. Each knot carries its own symbolic meaning, representing unity, luck, and prosperity, making it a perfect keepsake or thoughtful token for the Lunar New Year.

New to the programme for 2025, the traditional Chinese lion dance brings an unforgettable burst of energy and culture to this year’s Lunar New Year celebrations. Blending acrobatics with cultural artistry, this dynamic performance chases away bad fortune and welcomes good luck for the Year of the Snake.

Dragon Dance

A Lunar New Year must-see, the dragon dance brings energy and excitement to Peninsula Square as it winds its way through the  crowd.
The dragon holds deep cultural significance in Chinese traditions, symbolising strength, wisdom, and good fortune. Last year, thousands gathered in Peninsula Square to witness this spectacular performance, creating moments of connection and celebration.
