Come and learn about carnival and stilt walking traditions

About

No matter your experience level, these stilt walking workshops are for you!

Join in for one of the FREE practical DROP-IN sessions in order to get a taste of stilt walking and idea of what to expect during the spring Moko Jumbie project.

The art of the Moko Jumbie takes its heritage from West Africa and the Caribbean and is very much a unifying force acknowledging the strong spiritual and cultural links between Africa and the wider diaspora. Having travelled from West Africa the Moko Jumbie finds its home in Carnival as a playful spirit watching over communities.

* These Workshops are open to adults and young people aged 12+ based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich!
