Love, comfort and family are just some of the themes explored in a special display, created in response to the artworks in the Queen's House.

Participants from women's organisations including HER Centre in Woolwich, Solace and the Aaina Centre worked with artist Nicole Morris to make art inspired by Feeling Blue, a tapestry by Alberta Whittle and Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh.

Their textiles and creative writing pieces have been turned into an animated artwork – made by filmmaker Stuti Bansal – and a zine, which can be seen in the Queen's Bedchamber.

This project formed part of Navigating My Sea, an online initiative that enables women to engage with the meditative and often healing properties of making art. Over a two month period, the participants worked together to dye and weave yarn. This ongoing dialogue mimicked the rhythm of a weave and the sea: in and out, in and out.
