About
Celebrating the launch of the hotly anticipated Design District, recently crowned 'one of World's Greatest Places in 2021' by TIME Magazine, SAMPLE Autumn will be the first public event to take place in Greenwich Peninsula's newest neighbourhood. Design District is London's first ever permanent, purpose-built home for the creative industries, officially opening its doors this September with an impressive line-up of FREE events, experiences and talks, kicking off with SAMPLE Autumn.
SAMPLE, hosted at Greenwich Peninsula and curated by HemingwayDesign, has always been about providing a platform for emerging creatives and nurturing creative, independent brands by attracting design aware and sustainably-focused shoppers to experience their products. Now over two days with an even more expansive line-up of independent businesses, bringing together both Design District tenants and well-established SAMPLE regulars, SAMPLE Autumn won't disappoint those looking for high-quality, artisan products and inspiration for the upcoming season. This season, SAMPLE is expanding into the new Design District, offering visitors an exclusive peek into the Peninsula's newest neighbourhood and more space to explore, shop and socialise. SAMPLE's ethos has always focused on sustainable design and innovation, with Community, Craft & Culture at its heart - now with the launch of the Design District providing a permanent and prolific home for like-minded designers and makers, this event brings together the best of both worlds.
Back at Greenwich Peninsula for its 12th edition, SAMPLE has become a hot-bed of future talent, offering much more than your average street market. This Autumn sees a line-up like never before, with an exclusive series of talks and workshops exploring the future of the creative industries, spaces to get crafty and creative, and plenty of retail therapy to indulge in from some of the capital's most exciting independent brands. Shop for sustainable fashion and soak up the sounds of our resident DJ's whilst sipping on delicious cocktails, made exclusively by the team at Design District Canteen, London's newest food and drink destination. Bringing to the area a selection of independent food operators and culinary entrepreneurs, the architecturally impactful food hall will be centred around an outstanding transparent structure created by lauded Spanish architects, Jose Selgas and Lucia Cano. Vibrant stalls serving food from around the world will surround a stunning tree canopy for people to sit in and eat, while enjoying drinks from The Canteen Bar.
