Sparkle in the Park is back for a fourth year this Christmas

About

This year, Charlton Park and Charlton House and Gardens will be transformed into an enchanted winter wonderland, co-created with Royal Greenwich residents, for local people to enjoy. As part of the stunning lights installations, the Christmas market, a fun fair and pop up performance from local shcols and community choir.

Due to the larger space available, visitors won’t need a ticket to enter this year’s event.

As in previous years, on Sunday 1st December there will be a quiet hour from 4:30 to 5:30pm, for children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and sensory sensitivities. During the quiet hour, there will be reduced noise, no flashing lights, a reduced capacity on site and sensory appropriate entertainment.

You can also find a cosy and festive Winter Tavern inside Charlton House to get you in the Christmas spirit! As well as a Mrs Clause experience for kids. Tickets will be required for the Mrs Clause experience and will be available to purchase from Charlton House and Gardens website in due course.

The Christmas spirit will also take over the town centres with local stalls, activities and light switch on events in Eltham on Saturday 16th November and Woolwich on Saturday 23rd November, both from 12 noon to 6pm.

A Council spokesperson said: “Don’t miss the most magical event of the year!
