Winter Carousel and Market Quarter (16th November 2024 to 12th January 2025)
Location: Peninsula Square

Step into the Winter Carousel and Market Quarter, where classic fairground charm meets the flavours of the festive season. Take a ride on the beautifully crafted traditional carousel, adorned with twinkling lights and hand-painted horses, bringing nostalgia to life with every spin and offering a joyful escape for all ages. Indulge in seasonal treats from the market stalls - crispy churros with cinnamon sugar, authentic bratwurst with gourmet toppings, and mulled wine or deluxe hot chocolate.

Winter Candle Making Workshop with The Hour (7th December) - Book Now
Location: Design District, D4 Building
Time: 1:30pm - 3:00pm 
Enjoy a hands-on and creative experience where you get to craft your own scented candle—whether as a gift for yourself or a loved one. You’ll learn about aroma notes, scents, and the candle-making process, from selecting your fragrance to hand-pouring your soy wax candle. While your candles set, enjoy a fun festive quiz!

Gingerbread Decorating (7th December) 
Location: Canteen Food Hall & Bar - Design District
Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm | 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Join Greenwich Pantry for a gingerbread extravaganza! Drop in to the Gingerbread Decorating session, where you’ll transform gingerbread figures into edible masterpieces with vibrant icing, sprinkles, and playful decorations. Unleash your creativity and enjoy a hands-on activity that’s a treat for all ages.
NOTE: Contains Wheat, Gluten, Egg, Nuts. May also contain: Soya, Peanuts, Other Nuts, Milk

Sound Bath with The Hour (7th December) - Book Now
Location: Clod Ensemble - Design District, C2
Time: 5:00pm - 6:30pm 
Find a moment of calm amidst the buzz of the festive season with The Hour. In this soothing Sound Bath session, you’ll experience deep relaxation as the calming frequencies of gongs quiet your mind and still your body. Lay back on a yoga mat and embark on a sonic journey, guided by a sound therapist, who will use various instruments to create a peaceful soundscape. Over the course of an hour, you’ll be gently led into a state of deep relaxation—a perfect way to recharge. Make sure to bring a blanket or yoga mat and a cushion or pillow.
*  All proceeds will be donated to Greenwich Mind charity.

Holiday Postcards with The Photography Foundation​​​​​​ (7th December) - Book Now
Location: The Photography Foundation - Design District, D2
Time: 1:00pm - 7:00pm 
Bring your friends, family, or flatmates to The Photography Foundation’s relaxed studio for a fun group portrait session. Afterward, unleash your creativity by designing your own personalised greeting card, complete with a printed copy of your portrait. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of five people maximum.

Winter Melodies by Greenwich Music School (7th December)

Socks: The Art of Care and Repair by Celia Pym (6th December 2024 - 9th March 2025) - Book Now
Location: NOW Gallery, Greenwich Peninsula
Time: 10:00am - 6:00pm (Tuesday to Friday) | 10:00am - 5:00pm (Saturday) | 11:00am - 4:00pm (Sunday)
This December, NOW Gallery presents its 2024 Fashion Commission, Socks: The Art of Care and Repair, by London textile artist Celia Pym. The exhibition highlights sustainability in fashion, celebrating the act of mending through darning. Central to the display is the installation of 488 socks, mended by the Surrey Square Primary School community using waste socks from the industry. Pym’s own mended socks, reflecting personal care and creativity, will also be featured.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own socks to mend, with materials and workshops available. Pym’s interactive videos and step-by-step guides will help visitors create their own ‘visible mend’ to take home or display in the gallery. Expert-led darning workshops will run throughout the exhibition.

Socks Mending with Celia Pym (7th December) - Book Now

Time: 10:00am - 5:00pm 
Known for her exquisite visible mending, artist Celia Pym will lead a FREE darning workshop so you can breathe new life into your holey-oldies. Pym will demonstrate the woven darn, and you can bring your own socks or damaged garments to repair. This workshop will take place in the NOW Gallery, surrounded by Celia’s current exhibition Socks: the Art of Care and Repair featuring nearly 500 mended socks.Celia Pym

Takeover: Wearable Art Display by Alice Burnhope (7th December) 
Location: NOW Gallery, Greenwich Peninsula

Sustainable textile artist Alice Burnhope presents a display of wearable artworks crafted from discarded textiles. Challenging the concept of waste, Burnhope’s ‘Waste Quilt’ series uses natural dyes to repurpose textile waste, encouraging a sustainable and mindful approach to material usage. Browse and shop the limited-edition cushions and textile pieces, perfect for those looking for unique Christmas gifts.

TOAST X Celia Pym: Sashiko Repair Workshop (7th December) - Book Now

Join TOAST for a hands-on Sashiko Repair workshop, where you'll learn the art of reinforcing clothing with embroidered patches. Sashiko, meaning "little stabs" in Japanese, is a traditional technique for mending small holes or tears. A member of the TOAST team will guide you through the process, empowering you to repair your own garments with beautiful, functional designs.
