An annual celebration of community and culture where residents come to celebrate the borough's diversity.
Get lost in the sights and sounds of Woolwich Carnival, with a spectacular parade of dancers, musicians, local people and schools in colourful costumes.
Local schools and community groups have been getting creative, and ready to bring Woolwich alive with a fantastic carnival parade.
The parade will set off from the Royal Arsenal at 2pm, arriving in General Gordon Square at 3pm.
The main stage will feature music and dance acts from 12pm to 8pm. Expect high energy and diversity: steel pans, soca, reggae and more! Bring your carnival vibes and don’t forget your dancing shoes!
Woolwich Carnival Parade 2024 participants:
- Primary Schools: Windrush Charlton, St Mary Magdalene and St Margaret’s
- Community Groups: Ghana Greenwich Association, Our Heritage, Charlton Community Champions Consortium, Greenwich Nepalese Gurkha Community, Caribbean All Inclusive and more.
There will be a range of stalls selling food and drinks, and offering crafts and activities for all the family.
