When the clocks go back on 27 October, you can either take an extra hour in bed, or make the most of it, with this selection of some of Greenwich’s greatest hits!

1. Find time for the Royal Observatory

The home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the World, Greenwich’s historic Royal Observatory sits atop Greenwich Park and most London bucket lists.

3. Jump aboard the Cutty Sark

Step back in time to the Age of Sail aboard the world’s fastest and best-preserved sail-powered tea clipper, the Cutty Sark. Check out the museum, take the helm, and climb the rigging.

4. Check out the cosmos at the National Maritime Museum

The best of the sixteenth annual Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition – nine category winners, two special prizes and an overall winner – will be displayed from at the National Maritime Museum until August 2025.

5. Get Up at The O2

Up at The O2 gives you the chance to climb this iconic venue’s canopy – 52m high (reflecting the weeks in a year); 365m in diameter (the days in a year); and with 12 support towers (months).

6. Scrape the sky with the IFS Cloud Cable Car

Sweeping 90m into the sky above the Thames, from Victoria Dock to North Greenwich, the IFS Cloud Cable Car also offers a museum, virtual reality experience and a teddy making workshop. This half term, be sure to check out their fightfully fun Halloween activities!
