Maritime Greenwich offers a variety of amazing free museums and galleries like the National Maritime Museum or the Queen’s House, or you can climb aboard the Cutty Sark, stand on the Prime Meridian of the World at the Royal Observatory, gaze in awe at the amazing decorative art in The Painted Hall or climb to the top of a London icon at Up at The O2.

Greenwich is very popular for seasonal exhibitions and annual cornerstone events like Greenwich + Docklands International Festival, Greenwich Music Time and Greenwich Comedy Festival. Throughout the year Greenwich Peninsula is a destination for groups attending shows at The O2, who will often enhance a visit with additional experiences like taking a flight on the IFS Cloud Cable Car or a trip to the Greenwich Peninsula Driving Range while enjoying the free public art on a walk along the Thames Path and the first elevated riverside linear park, The Tide.

If arriving individually, Greenwich is well serviced by public transport. You can get to Greenwich from London Bridge via train just 8 minutes, Docklands Light Railway from Bank Station in 20 minutes and by River Bus from Westminster in 45 minutes.

If travelling as a group by private transport, there’s free parking for coaches on Charlton Way near Blackheath Gate, at the southern side of Greenwich Park, or secure 24-hour coach parking at The O2 for a fee with river travel into Greenwich via their Park and Glide service. There are two coach parking spaces in the Park Row car park on the corner of Trafalgar Road and Park Row, as well as a pick-up/drop off point in Stockwell Street, opposite St Alfege church where there is a waiting time limit of 20 minutes.
